Wood & Co. is led by James Wood, a Chartered Certified Accountant with over 20 years of experience gained from working in both accountancy practice and through various senior finance positions for prominent North West companies. This diverse background gives him a deep understanding of all aspects of accountancy as well as the wider business landscape. From routine compliance to strategic consultancy, we’ve got you covered.

A New Chapter
The Wood & Co. name enters its third generation, first established by James’ grandfather Henry in North Yorkshire in the 1970s, who was later joined by his son Ian in the early 1980s, expanding the practice into a second location. Although the firm changed hands in 2008, James is proud to revive the brand and the values it was built on—trust, reliability, and a truly personal approach—values that remain at the heart of everything we do.
Now based in Morecambe, we serve businesses and individuals across Morecambe, Lancaster, and the wider surrounding areas. James offers a modern, straight-talking approach, grounded in traditional values.
